Summer of 2011 marks the return of public DJ battles and exhibitions held at Wax Murdaraz Professional DJ Skool in St. Louis, Mo.  The DJ Skool is the base of operations for the Deep Krate Radio shows which have aired online via Ustream since 2009.  The last public event held at the DJ Skool took place back in late 2008.  The first battle taking place at the DJ Skool in 2011 is “After Skool DJ Brawl IV (Remix)”, an August 6 DJ competition to determine the true undisputed After Skool DJ Brawl IV champion, in which the WM Brawl title belt (formerly held by DJ Pome under controversial circumstances) will be on the line.  This event will be followed by various public and/or streamed DJ exhibition showcases which will be confirmed at later dates.  To attend WM Skool events live in person (or if you’re a DJ with some good ol’ fashioned beef to settle), email waxmurdaraz@hotmail.com for more info.

The 2011 Red Bull Thre3Style USA Finals will take place this fall in November in Las Vegas, NV.  The winners of the USA regionals will flown to the American gambling capital to compete for the Red Bull Thre3style National Championship. The national champ will then travel to Vancouver, Canada to represent the USA in the global finals in hopes of being crowned the International Red Bull Thre3style champ.  For more info on Red Bull Thre3Style competitions, visit www.redbullusa.com. The 2011 DMC Online DJ Competition launched on Feb 3rd, 2011 and became open for DJs to enter their first videos on Feb 14th, 2011 before the voting started on March 3rd.  Every two weeks the public votes for their favorite DJ sets deciding the top 10, which will then be judged by DMC World DJ Champions.  Each winning DJ and the runner-up go through to the August final where all DJs will be required to upload their six minute filmed performance.  Once again the public will vote for their favorites, and the top 10 will then be judged by DMC World DJ Champions.  On September 5th one DJ will be crowned the world’s first DMC Online DJ Champion.  For more info, visit http://www.dmcdjonline.com/
